Fridge.

Trying out my new Cactus v4 wireless flash triggers. One SB-600 with Cactus V4 on 1/64 power triggered with a D90 and 35mm 1.8. I blocked out the fridge light with some masking tape.
I took 10 photos and moved the flash around the fridge behind different items of food. (my family doesn’t actually label everything in our fridge, but more on that on monday the 15th). Update: an article in this month’s Steel Bananas was about why humans need to label things. I staged this photo to go with it. Read the article here.
The flash triggers were $50.00 CDN with shipping. Not too bad, considering Pocket Wizards cost upwards of a few hundred dollars. For what I need them for, shooting portraits in the studio or on location in relatively small locations, these should do the trick. I doubt I’ll ever need more range then the 30 meters Cactus v4 gives me. So far, I havn’t had any misfires or non-fires, just the occasional trouble getting them to sync, but once they do, there is no problem whatsoever. Next thing I need is a light stand, a flashgun bracket, and umbrella, and I’ll be good to go.
