"Transforming Toronto's Art Scene"

"Last Friday, the Art Gallery of Ontario reopened its doors after a four-year remodelling project entitled Transformation AGO. The renovations, drafted by world-renowned Toronto architect Frank Gehry—who also designed the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain—began after a $276 million, 190,000 square foot proposal in 2004 by the gallery. The new AGO is meant to redraw the map for museum and art curatorial practices, hoping to make Toronto’s gallery an international art hub."[The Medium]
