Day 3 Toronto Indy: Race Day
Race day is over, and the day did not go without its fair share of incidences. Hometown favourite, Paul Tracy collided with Helio Castroneves, resulting in an early end to the weekend for Tracy, and drawing a chorus of boos from the crowd for Castroneves. Tracy was not the only one with bad luck – of the 23 drivers that started to race, only 15 crossed the finish line. But it wasn’t all bad. Danica Patrick moved up the grid from 18th to 6th, quashing any doubts about her lack of strength to handle the rough Toronto road course.

Paul Tracy trails fellow Canadian Alex Tagliani into turn 5. Tagliani and Tracy would come to briefly hold the one and two positions.

Alex Tagliani's #34 Conquest Racing. Tagliani returned to race this weekend after a brief hiatus due to team financial problems.

First Place, Dario Franchitti (centre), second place, Ryan Briscoe (left), and third place Will Power (right) are blasted with confetti.
